Host Family Accommodation

The majority of our students opt to stay in carefully selected Irish family homes.
ELI can offer students accommodation with a number of Irish host families situated within Dublin, generally a 20-45 minute journey from the school. Families are on main bus routes or close to DART (train) and LUAS (tram) stations, with some being within walking distance to the city centre.

Living with an Irish family is an invaluable experience for students as this ensures that students are encouraged to speak English and are immersed in the Irish culture during their stay.
Students are placed in single rooms where available and all accommodation includes bed, breakfast and evening meals weekly and bed, breakfast, lunch and evening meals on the weekends.

Cost: €200.00 per week
* A deposit of one week’s accommodation must be paid in advance of student arrival.
Groups are required to pay the entire cost in advance.

Cultural Activities
The English Language Institute offers a diverse range of cultural activities that students can join after class during the week. Activities consist of guided tours of museums, historical sites, castles, breweries and seaside villages in and around the city centre. Weekend excursions outside Dublin can also be organised for groups of 10 or more upon request.

Cost: dependent upon activity
* All external costs are charged at local rates, ELI do not mark these costs up.

Airport Transfer
Upon request ELI can organise for an airport transfer for students to be delivered to any Dublin address specified.
Cost: €75.00 each way

* For group transfers ELI offers a discount, please contact us for details.

Counselling and Guidance

Academic counselling is always available at ELI. Teachers provide constant feedback to students on their progress, and students can also make an appointment to meet the Director of Studies to discuss academic or other matters. All students will have the full support of the school in order that they can maximise the potential of their study period.

School Resources

ELI has a well-equipped library with free broadband internet access to all students. Also available to students is a canteen with coffee making facilities, a courtyard and garden where students can relax and enjoy barbecues during the summer.
