About Ireland

About Ireland
The English Language Institute is situated in the centre of Dublin, Ireland?s capital. Dublin is a city of about one million people, and is situated near the sea, on Ireland?s east coast. Dublin is a very multicultural city, steeped in culture and history and with all the excitement and vibrancy of a European capital city. Lots of people come here from all over the world to study and to work.

Our school is located opposite St. Stephen?s Green in the centre of the city, just next to Grafton Street shopping district and beside all public transport.

The island of Ireland is an awe-inspiring destination offering spectacular scenery, culture on every corner and world-renowned hospitality. Ireland?s countryside offers breathtaking views and amazing beauty, with many historical sights and mythical places to visit.

Visitors to Ireland will be welcomed with a friendly smile and open arms; the Irish are known for their hospitality, and enjoy welcoming tourists to their island.

Living and working in Ireland
Finding accommodation in any city can be a daunting task, which is why we advise students new to Ireland to allow us to arrange host family accommodation with us for at least two weeks at the start of their stay. Most of our students use www.daft.ie to help them to find accommodation. Checking out this website will give you a good idea of the types of accommodation available in Dublin city.

Finding a job in Dublin is not too difficult, and many of our students enjoy working for fifteen or twenty hours a week, as it both helps them to finance their studies and to improve their English by working with native English speakers.

Here are some of the most popular websites for finding a job:
